A trip to the vets

A few weeks ago we received notices that 2 of our three (if you don't count fish) animals needed annual vaccinations. About the same time our dogs developed coughs. Without giving you tmi (too much information),,,it sounded like they had something stuck in their throat.

So off i went to the veterinarian by myself with one big, old and arthritic dog and one somewhat rambunctious and neurotic lab. I covered the seats with sheets, but the hair still managed to get almost everywhere.

After 2 doses of antibiotics they are fine. Well at least their cough is fine. It was now time to get their check-ups and vaccinations. Alan volunteered(?) to help. Bless him. As we pulled out the leashes Kate and Snickers were so excited,,,thinking they were going for a walk. Sorry guys. We went in the pick up so the dogs and all their hair could be loaded in the back. The cat would be in her crate (the blue box in the first picture) in the back seat. It was raining when we were to go, but let up enough they could be loaded. The vet didn't show up for about 20 min. Other dogs left and people came. We had to settle them a number of times. Twas a comedy getting them all in and out of the exam room and then back in the truck without losing one (probably would have been the lab).
